K-5 Lesson Plan

On the A.R.T.S. tour, students will learn about the exhibit Dealer’s Choice and how artists use different subject matter in their artwork to reflect their personnal experiences and influences. This lesson extends that learning and explores artist that use animals as subjects in their work. Students learn about the history of wildlife art and experiment with drawing animals focusing on texture.

On the A.R.T.S. tour, students will learn about the exhibit Dealer’s Choice and the work of the artists chosen by local galleries to be represented. This lesson extends that learning and allows students to re-imagine the museum space with the use of a 3D modeling software.

On the A.R.T.S. tour, students will learn about the exhibit Dealer’s Choice and the work of artists chosen by local galleries to be represented. This lesson extends that learning and explores the role of the curator in a gallery exhibitions. Students will learn about the role of curators and practice using the elements of art to design to create a layout for an exhibition.
