Jim Jacobs will begin the evening with an art talk, diving into the fascinating works now on display in The Imperfections That Render Us Visible. Then Matt Haber, Chair of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Utah, will take the stage. Haber's short lecture, "Philosophy Of, For, and In Science: Tangled Trees and Polar Bears" will be an introduction to his work in the philosophy of science.
Ample time will be left for questions from the audience. Our two speakers come from different fields, but in this open-ended discussion, let's see if and where their ideas converge.
