Metalsmithing: The beauty of fusing!  2-day workshop

Techniques:

This class teaches how to fuse (no solder is used!) Argentium sterling silver.  Students will form  wire shapes & make granules to add another decorative dimension to earrings or pendants.  Students will also learn to fuse seams of heavy gauge wire ring bands.  This class is all about feeling comfortable and in control with the jewelers torch.

Projects:

A pair of Silver earrings or pendent and a silver ring.

Prerequisite:

Basic metalsmithing 1 and or previous experience using jeweler’s tools for sawing, piercing, hammering and filing.
