Art Talk with Executive Director, Aldy Milliken
It’s been too long since we’ve seen you and WE NEED ART, more than ever!
Let’s be honest about where we are as a community in the midst of this global pandemic and be committed to inspire and connect through art.
Come to Kimball Art Center for an inspiring and thought-provoking Art Talk/presentation by Executive Director, Aldy Milliken: Enough 2020, Enough! This hour long art presentation will unify us and our mutual connection over how 2020 has impacted us by showcasing the artwork that represents the 5 stages of grief, starting with Maurizio Cattelan’s artwork “Comedy” 2019 consisting of duck tape and a banana (shown at Art Basel Miami). Was this piece for-shadowing our year? Is this denial? Is this art? You be the judge after we have an art discussion based on images and ideas.
Wednesday, October 21st 5:30pm – Please RSVP. The talk is limited to 20 attendees, we’ll space out chairs, and masks are required.
*If you would rather watch the presentation on zoom, please RSVP and indicate you’ll watch remotely and you’ll be sent the link.
