Quinn Maher grew up in Tacoma Washington. He began working in ceramics in 2008 at Utah Valley University. Quinn worked at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center for a number of years as an intern and studio assistant. It was while working in Snowmass that Quinn first learned about and participated in atmospheric firings, and quickly developed an appreciation for wood firing. This fondness for wood firing lead him to Utah State University, where he has recently graduated with an MFA. Quinn currently teaches at Weber State University.
