Kimball Art Center Education Internship- Summer 2018
Kimball Art Center is seeking interns to join our creative education team this summer! The Summer Internship Program at Kimball Art Center provides undergraduate students and beginning professionals with practical experience in the field of art education, the operation of a non-profit arts organization and museum outreach. Interns work alongside our dedicated and knowledgeable education staff while increasing their understanding of the center’s various programs, exhibitions, and departments. During this program, interns will have the opportunity to apply an enthusiasm for art, creativity, and critical thinking skills to a wide range of projects and gain experience in teaching art and education programming. The Education Department hosts 2 interns per season. Participants may arrange for academic credit through their school, but it is certainly not a requirement.
The Kimball Art Center is accepting applications for summer intern (s) until April 30, 2018. The summer internship program begins Friday, June 1 (intern orientation) through August 24, 2017 (end date is flexible).

Within the education team, the Education Coordinator coordinates and assists with the day to day of educational programs at Kimball Art Center. The Education Coordinator’s responsibilities include promoting activities and events, preparing classes, communicating with teachers, scheduling classroom use and being a support staff for teaching ARTS, Story Time for Tots and other outreach programs and scheduled classes. Additionally, this position will assist with the Arts Festival, summer camps, exhibition interactives, and other educational outreach events and opportunities.This role reports to the Education Director.

The Kimball Art Center is looking for qualified, talented, part-time art instructors to teach visual art media workshops and extended classes to a variety of age groups (3 years of age - adults). Our art studios accommodate most media, however please be specific with space requirements and technical equipment requirements when submitting an application. Must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Teaching experience required.

We are hiring draped or undraped figure models for our Wake & Draw series. This class takes place on Saturday mornings and is a student lead drawing class, there is no instructor present. The classes are open to people 18+ years old and are capped at 10 people.
