Lines and textures are building blocks for art concepts. Campers will play with straight, spiral, zigzag, and squiggly lines while using various materials to give art texture.

Rainbow Art-Tots
Campers will enjoy making colorful mixed media art projects using all the colors of the rainbow. Campers will cultivate confidence, creativity, and problem solving while improving focus, collaboration, imagination, hand-eye coordination, and following instructions throughout the week.
WBSAS Theme-Tots
What materials are used in art? Our youngest artists will explore the variety of art materials that can be used to create in this week long art camp. Each camper will choose a favorite work to be displayed in Kimball Art Center’s annual Wasatch Back Student Art Show.
Disney Magic – VIRTUAL CAMP
The Lion King, Cinderella, Snow White and her posse. Disney classics didn’t just happen, they were carefully crafted by an artist. In this online class, we’ll study the process animators used in various films and then students will create their own characters, scenes, and storyboards using a variety of art materials. Materials needed: Paper, pencil, eraser, colored pencils, markers, pens, watercolor or paint, and air dry clay (a recipe will be provided in advance). Materials not included.
Cartooning – VIRTUAL CAMP
Kids will bring their own super hero and villain to life as they learn to create a comic book. We’ll cover storyboards and character development, anatomy, facial expressions, and various cartooning techniques in this online class. Materials needed: Various types of paper, pencils, eraser, colored pencils, markers, pens, watercolor or paint. Materials not included.
Art in the Garden Kids Camp – SOLD OUT
Want your kids to love art? Plant the seed now! We’re partnering with Summit Community Gardens for this week-long outdoor camp. Campers will integrate planting and creating art for their home gardens and Summit Community Gardens. Activities might include painting large scale murals, smaller garden clay pots, garden signs and more to liven up any yard and connect art with the outdoors!
This camp will be outdoors at the Summit Community Garden.
