Have fun with paper mache and use your imagination to create oversized animals, pieces of food and much more. Each sculpture is made super colorful with paint!
Week 2 (June 12-16)
Join us for this exploration of mural arts where you will have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in creating a collaborative mural that will be publicly displayed at the Kimball Arts Festival. With your peers you will learn new painting techniques using acrylic paint and spray paint to design and produce a panel for all to see and celebrate!
Learn about the many ways to paint your favorite things using watercolor, acrylic, palette knives, special techniques and more!
Transform recycled materials like bubble wrap, caps, and cups to create unique pieces of art while practicing age appropriate art skills. Mini artists will create one of a kind artworks.
Dive into the rich colors and patterns of Laurel Burch’s animal art! Her work
will inspire campers to create their own favorite animal drawings, adding elaborate patterns and color schemes. Practice design principles rhythm, movement, pattern, scale and balance.
Make a one-of-a-kind bird feeder, garden gnome, and pot out of clay. Perfect for the garden, front porch, or anywhere our feathered friends can be found.
All work will be fired and ready for pick up at the Kimball Art Center 14 days after your class. We do not ship class work.
