Express yourself while exploring oil painting. Practice the basics of color theory, proper application of paint, and fundamentals of composition and design. Because each student is unique, projects may be altered and one-on-one instruction will be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level. This camp is for 10-14 yr olds. Week 8 (July 28-31)
All Things Paper Mache
In this camp, kids will dive into the world of paper mache, crafting everything from sculptures to masks to fun, 3D creations. Using paper, glue, and their imaginations, they’ll learn how to mold and shape their creations, adding layers and details for a perfect finish. A great way for young artists to explore texture, form, and creativity while having tons of fun! This camp is for 6-12 yr olds. Due to the Kimball Arts Festival, this will be a 4-day week with no camp on August 1.
Wheel Throwing 4 Tweens
Get ready to get your hands dirty in Wheel Throwing Camp! In this hands-on camp, young artists will learn the basics of pottery and wheel throwing. They’ll discover how to shape clay, create bowls, cups, and other fun pieces on the pottery wheel, all while exploring their creativity and learning new skills. Perfect for kids who love getting crafty and want to try something new with clay! Kids Ages 10-14yrs old only. Due to the Kimball Arts Festival, this will be a 4-day week with no camp on August 1.
Note on firing: All work will be fired and ready for pick up in the Kimball Art Center 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work. If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled. *Since artwork may look different after firing, make your pottery or sculpture recognizable by carving a signature into your piece.
On the last day of camp, please join us for an art show to photograph work before it gets fired !

Art in Motion: This camp explores the connection between movement, creativity, and self-expression! We invite campers to explore how artists use their bodies—whether through brush strokes, dance, or sound—to create dynamic and meaningful art. This camp will blend visual art with kinetic energy, encouraging participants to experiment with gestural drawing or painting, create patterns through movement, and explore the relationship between sound and art. Let’s Play with Colors: Mini Painters Club
Join us for a week long camp where young artists dive into a world of vibrant hues, creative expression, and endless possibilities! Each project is designed for mini painters to explore the magic of colors through a variety of fun and engaging activities. Due to the Kimball Arts Festival, this will be a 4-day week with no camp on August 1.
Wheel Throwing: 10-14 yrs old
Learn the basics of the potter’s wheel and make clay creations like cups, plates, and bowls. As students advance and build confidence, they can tackle additional wheel-thrown designs. All work will be fired and ready for pick up at the Kimball Art Center 14 days after your class. We do not ship class work.
