10:00 AM- 4:00 PM
This workshop will introduce you to the joy and beauty of observational sketching and watercolor painting of seasonal wildflowers and plants. We will start with a brief meeting at The Kimball Art Center and then head for the hills! This class is intended to be a jumping off point for the exploration and recording of Utah flora throughout the summer. We will discuss the characteristics of many wild flowers, will explore the different elements of nature journaling and creating a ‘perpetual sketchbook’ and then spend the afternoon working and exploring. A materials list and specifics for the day will be sent to students upon signing up for the course. No previous experience is necessary. Pack a lunch and proper attire to be outside.
