About
Join us for a conversation about how to look at contemporary art with guest speaker Aaron Levi Garvey, Chief Curator of the Andy Warhol Museum and Aldy Milliken, Executive Director of Kimball Art Center.Garvey and Milliken will open a dialogue surrounding how to look at artwork, how to think critically, and ways to process art as a catalyst for growth. Contemporary Art reflects complex issues that shape our diverse, global, and rapidly changing world. Through their work, many contemporary artists explore personal or cultural identity, offer critiques of social and institutional structures, or even attempt to redefine art itself. Artists often raise thought-provoking questions through collaborations with institutions, other artists, galleries, collectors, and social media. Art is an outlet for reflection, fosters new ways of thinking, and encourages compassion and connection.
