Kristen McDermaid

Kristen has worked with clay for the past 18 years. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics from the University of Utah in 2007 and completed her Master of Fine Arts in ceramics in 2015 from the University of Utah. She studied Ceramics at Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea in 2005. Kristen completed a Ceramics Studio Assistant position at Peter's Valley School of Craft in 2007 and returned to Peter's Valley as an Artist in Residence in 2008. She also taught for the Salt Lake City School District’s Community Education Department from 1996 – 2013 in K-12 grades. She sells and shows her work nationally. Kristen teaches all age groups at the Kimball Clay Studio.
