Campers will work with all types of materials to make one-of-a-kind creations! Campers will cultivate dexterity, confidence, creativity, and problem solving while improving focus, collaboration, imagination, hand-eye coordination, and following instructions and much more throughout the week.
Wheel Throwing 3- Kids (9-12 only)
Campers will get their hands dirty as they learn the basics of the potter’s wheel and make clay creations to include cups, plates, and/or bowls.
Painting FUNdamentals- Kids
Learn about the many ways to paint your favorite things using watercolor, acrylic, palette knives, special techniques and more!
Art and Animals- Kids
If you love animals, this art camp is for you. Explore drawing, painting, collaging and sculpting various local animals, pets and your favorite creatures.
3D Art- Kids
Campers will learn the basics of three-dimensional design and processes. We will cover topics in three-dimensional design in which campers will explore the principles of visual perception and the meaning of form, space, function, mass and structure as they relate to three-dimensional design. Varied use of materials will be incorporated into each project as we develop the campers’ ability to analyze the relationships between form and space. Overall it’s a great start to creating your own large sculptures!
YogART- Kids
At Kimball Art Center, we stretch more than just your creativity. YogART balances body, mind, and soul. Kids Campers will learn meditation, mindfulness, and yoga while creating art projects inspired by the day’s theme.
