Open Painting Studio
Do you need a convenient drop-in studio space? Kimball Art Center’s painting studio is available! We supply the easels and space, you bring your materials and work alongside other creatives. If you’re new to Kimball Art Center, please check in with an education staff member at 10am for a quick introductory tour of the facility. Price is per session. Materials can be provided for an extra fee.
Novel Notebooks
Learn how to bind a high-quality notebook using various techniques and materials in this three-week book-making course. Students can add a personal touch to the journals they create.
Wheel Throwing for Kids
Learn the basics of the potter’s wheel and make clay creations like cups, plates, and bowls. Kids can advance to additional wheel-thrown designs after just a few classes. This five-week class is designed for kids ages 10-12.
Due to drying and firing times, all clay pieces will be available for pick up 12-14 days after the last class session.
One-Day Welding II
Using MIG welders, oxygen/acetylene torches, plasma cutters, grinders, shapers, and cut-off tools, artists will learn metalworking and metal sculpture design. Each date is a separate class with its own project and finished piece.
