Elementary Visual Arts (E.V.A.) aims to share the visual arts with elementary school students in the Park City School District. Kimball Art Center partners with the Park City Education Foundation to bring this high-quality visual art curriculum into elementary schools.
Lesson plans are created by Kimball Art Center educators and focus on teaching visual arts as part of the Utah Elementary Visual Arts Core Curriculum. Free supplemental materials are provided online for widespread public use.

Man Ray – Photograms
Man Ray (Emmanuel Radnitzky; 1890-1976) was an important American artist associated with both the Dada and Surrealist movements. Ray is remembered for his experimental photographic work, a method called “rayographs’’ which are also known as “photograms”. Students will learn about photography, Man Ray’s influences, and his process. Then they will create their own photograms and experiment with sun paper using collected objects and composition.
** To do this project at home without light sensitive paper student can arange objects and photograph them using a smart phone, scanner or digital camera.Lesson Plan
