This weekend workshop is designed for intermediate and advanced students who are comfortable working with clay and want to push their sculptural practice further. Inspired by Antra Sinha’s process, students will explore how original sculptural shapes can emerge through hands on making, repetition, and adjustment rather than following a set project.

Demonstration and guidance will be woven throughout the workshop, alongside plenty of studio practice time. Students will create a series of small sculptural experiments, building, revising, and refining forms while paying attention to balance, structure, and how each piece holds together. With mentoring from the instructor, participants may choose one form to develop into a finished, palm sized sculpture.

This workshop is ideal for students who already have some experience and are interested in experimenting, taking risks, and developing a more personal approach to sculptural making.

Artwork will be fired by our dedicated clay studio staff.

Please note that the firing process takes 7-14 days, and your finished pieces will be available for pick-up only; shipping is not offered for class creations. Remember to collect your masterpiece within 60 days to avoid recycling.
