About
Join us for the dual opening of our next two exhibitions: "Returning to Wonder" and "All Sketches Wish to Be Real"
Explore wondrous vistas and imagine new futures at the opening of our two new 2026 exhibitions: Returning to Wonder and All Sketches Wish to Be Real.
Returning to Wonder brings together artists driven by an intense curiosity about these natural phenomena and our relationship to the more-than-human world. Blending scientific inquiry with poetic imagination, their works act as portals into the spectacular dimensions of our environment. Drawing from diverse fields—including astronomy, geology, mathematics, and ecology—each artist translates complex ideas, such as the enormity of time and space, into forms we can begin to feel, contemplate, and carry with us.
All Sketches Wish to Be Real features new work by Utah artists Alexandra Fuller, Antra Sinha, and Elpitha Tsoutsounakis. The exhibition draws inspiration from a stanza in Tomas Tranströmer’s poem, The Blue House, which speaks to the alternate lives and futures that remain just out of reach.
Get a first look at the new exhibitions and meet featured artists Kellie Bornhoft, Alexandra Fuller, and Antra Sinha January 16, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Kimball Art Center.
