The Student-Focused Art Exhibition Features Work from Local K-12 Students / April 29 – May 28
Park City, UT – Kimball Art Center (KAC) is calling all emerging K-12 student artists in Wasatch and Summit County to submit their artwork in line with the theme “A Closer Look” for the much-anticipated annual Wasatch Back Student Art Show. For the first time ever, participating young artists, like professional artists, will have the option to sell their work during the exhibition, splitting the proceeds with the Kimball Art Center. Submissions are being accepted April 13-18 at the Kimball Art Center during regular hours and more information on eligibility can be found on the Wasatch Back Student Art Show entry form.
Nancy Stoaks, Exhibitions Director of the Kimball Art Center, said, “Our local student artists never cease to amaze me with their creative expression especially when we create complex themes like the one selected this year. It’s incredibly rewarding to work with student artists because I know it ensures we will continue to grow our thriving art community with young talent, fresh perspectives and new ideas.”
The theme “A Closer Look” can be reflected in student’s work literally, metaphorically or through a symbolic idea about what happens when you experience something in depth, celebrate the details or look closely at something and realize it isn’t as it seems.
