As of this month, the Kimball Art Center Board of Directors has a new Board Chair, Maggie Hughey AbuHaidar, who was elected by her fellow Board members. Maggie received her undergraduate degree in English from Dartmouth College and continued to Duke University, where she earned her law degree and a master’s degree in English. Maggie worked as an Assistant United States Attorney, in New Jersey and Utah, for 11 years. She lives in Park City with her husband, Nadim, and their three children. From an early age, Maggie’s mother spent countless hours drawing with her. Now, Maggie draws with her own children, encouraging them to express their creativity. She has supported art in the community by serving on our Board for the last 3 years.
The Kimball Art Center Board of Directors plays an integral role in shaping the future of the Kimball and guiding its mission into a reality. The 13 members serve a 3-year term and then, with the approval of Kimball leadership and the rest of the Board, can choose to return or move on to other opportunities. The Kimball was lucky to have Matt Mullin serve as its Chair for the past 4 years. Matt will continue to serve on the Board and offer his expertise in real estate and commercial development. He has been an avid art lover since meeting his wife, Maren, who owns a local gallery.
We are excited to welcome Maggie into her new role and for the bright future of the Kimball Art Center. To learn more about the rest of the Kimball’s esteemed Board of Directors, please visit the ‘About Us’ section of the website where you can find their bios.
