Daytime Wheel Session 3
A beginner class with a series of skill-building practices will introduce you to the joys of working with clay on the wheel. The basic skills of wheel-thrown pottery will be introduced through step-by-step instruction in clay preparation, throwing on the wheel, trimming, handles and the firing process. Students will learn how to throw a cylinder, cup, bowl, and plate.
All work will be fired and ready for pick up in the Kimball Art Center lobby 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work.
Wheel Try It Evenings Drop In
This is not a typical class, instead, a studio staff member will provide a demonstration at the start of the session in either wheel throwing or hand building techniques. A nominal $40 fee includes enough clay for two completed pieces as well as firing and glazing. This class is for adults ages 17+
