Grab an easel or a drawing horse, bring a pad of paper, your preferred drawing medium, and your creativity. A nude and/or draped model will be present to pose. Students will work with the model to communicate positions, quick draw exercises, or extended time draws, etc., which will allow students to continue their study of the figure. There is no instructor during this open studio session, so it is suggested that students who register have figure drawing experience. Teen Sketch & Draw
In this class, students will work with Emily to discover various methods of drawing. This class will be an exploration of drawing materials. Students will be given the opportunity to experiment with different colored paper, charcoal, graphite, powdered graphite/charcoal, white charcoal, pastel pencils and liquefied graphite and charcoal. Students may bring in images they wish to work with or a still life will be set up for each class.
Harry Potter Creative Drawing
Students will learn about the origins of the mythical creatures featured in the Harry Potter Saga, and will learn to draw a selection of them by focusing on each body part individually by using references. The last day of class, students will create their own imaginary mythical creature using the processes learned.
