Zoom in and discover what you see. Join this three day art class with Lori McDonald and make a piece of artwork for the Wasatch Back Student Art Show with the theme A Closer Look. We will draw, paint and photograph taking a close look at objects, and even our own faces up close. Come have fun exploring scale, computer pixels and the micro world! We will frame all finished pieces and submit them for the exhibition!
Mixed Media
Art Attack!
This class explores various art media including painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, clay and fine craft. Students develop a knowledge of art processes, how to explore and experiment on their own, and learn art techniques to improve their ability. Some projects may span more than one class meeting and students may have fun creative homework. This class is for students who are 7 – 10 years of age only.
Leprechaun Traps
Lure a leprechaun into your home for St. Patrick’s Day. Using cardboard, papers, glitter and foam, students will build Leprechaun Traps. Students will also decorate their trap and fill it with gold coins to catch this elusive elf.
Fall Break Art Kids Camp
Come have fun and explore mixed media art with Cameron in this 2 day art camp! Students will doodle, sketch, paint, layer, glue and have fun as they create unique pieces of art! Kids will take a break mid-day to eat lunch and relax. After lunch, students return to class for creative free time, and a PG rated movie. We will provide popcorn for the movie – please notify staff if your child has any allergies! Spaces fill fast – register in advance to reserve your space!
Autumn Leaf Suncatchers
Have fun with Anna in making beautiful autumn leaf suncatchers with tissue paper and a variety of leaf shapes. Tots will learn about fall colors and the changing seasons as they create their suncatchers to place in their windows at home.
Tots Think 3D!
Tots have fun with Cameron learning about sculpture and 3D forms. Experiment with paper, cardboard, clay, and fun mixed media materials. Tots will make something new each day to bring home. Think outside the box, think 3D! Parents do not need to accompany children in this class, but students need to be 4 to 5 years of age.
