In this class, students will be introduced to the basics of digital photography and quickly brought up to speed on the proper operations and functions of their digital cameras and equipment. Students will also briefly review some styles and types of photography that will help inspire students to capture dynamic and professional looking images. This part of the course will be taught during the first class meeting. During the next three weeks. students will review introductory techniques for editing their digital images at the Park City Library. Stefan will introduce free online resources that students can use to edit their images, and learn about websites that offer free online storage so students can share and store their images. Students will also have the opportunity to upload their images to a blog or an online portfolio so that the students can access their final photos, and add to them even after the class is over.

Photoshop 101: Perfecting Your Digital Photos
Spend your Sunday morning at the Park City Library with Heather in this crash course in Adobe Photoshop! Students bring their own photographs to edit, and Heather will walk students through the basics in digital editing techniques to perfect and polish their digital images!
Digital Photography for Teens & Tweens
Get outside with Rebekah and learn about in-camera control and essential camera functions while in automatic and manual settings. Each day students will go out in the field and take photos with the instructor and explore beautiful Park City. Students will either walk to local destinations, or will take city transit to visit the McPolin Barn or other picturesque locals. On the last day of class, students will meet at the Park City Library to download their photos and learn basic editing techniques to give their images a finished, polished look. Students will walk away from class with a collection of beautiful photographs, plus the skills and knowledge to continue digital photography on their own. All skill levels welcome. No cell phone cameras, please.

Zoom in and discover what you see. Join this three day art class with Lori McDonald and make a piece of artwork for the Wasatch Back Student Art Show with the theme A Closer Look. We will draw, paint and photograph taking a close look at objects, and even our own faces up close. Come have fun exploring scale, computer pixels and the micro world! We will frame all finished pieces and submit them for the exhibition!
