The Animals Around Us: Art about Local Wildlife
Explore the diverse and fascinating world of local wildlife right here in the mountains of Park City. This week-long journey is tailor-made for mini artists curious about the creatures that share our natural surroundings, from majestic mountain lions to charming moose capturing them in various media from paint to sculpture.
Beaded Heart Workshop- 1 Day
This amazing mosaicking technique enables you to create playful mosaics with small beads, tokens, jewelry and anything else your heart desires. It is also a great addition to other mosaic skills, giving you so many options on your creative journey. I will have everything you need for a day of artful learning. We will use special metal (nickel silver) hand and heart substrates designed just for this class. You will love this new art form and art piece! You can also use this technique to bead of bottles, belt buckles, boots, bunnies and just about anything else. Come join us for a day of new techniques and creativity.



Throwing Large Forms on the Wheel (2 days)
Learn how to throw large forms on the wheel in this two day workshop with Tom Caswell! Practice centering large amounts of clay, combining separate pieces to make one large form.
This class is best suited for ceramic artists who are comfortable on the wheel and want to take their skills to the next level.
Artwork will be fired by our dedicated clay studio staff.
Please note that the firing process takes 7-14 days, and your finished pieces will be available for pick-up only; shipping is not offered for class creations. Remember to collect your masterpiece within 60 days to avoid recycling.
Wheel Thrown Plates and Platters Workshop
Learn how to throw plates and large platters on the wheel with Tom Caswell. Plates serve as a versatile canvas, allowing potters to unleash their creativity through imaginative designs and decorations. Tricks will be shared to prevent the most common errors such as “S” cracks and warping. In this class, we will be using porcelain! If you are new to using porcelain, this workshop is perfect for you to give it a try!
This class is best suited for ceramic artists who are comfortable on the wheel and want to take their skills to the next level. Plan on returning the following Saturday, June 28th, during our open studio time, to finish your pieces (trimming or glazing). Tom will be there all day to be guiding you and answer questions.

1 Day Welding Workshop
Using MIG welders, oxygen/acetylene torches, plasma cutters, grinders, shapers, and cut-off tools, students will learn metalworking and metal sculpture design. Each date is a separate workshop with its own project and finished piece.
Course Goals: Explore the fun of completing a project with steel, using basic metal cutting and welding equipment. Wear cotton or leather clothing, bring gloves and eye protection if you have them. Welding helmets, ear and eye protection, gloves will be provided.
