Kids get to draw and paint portraits of the people and critters that are central to their lives, including themselves. Silly, serious and/or full of make believe portraits tell stories about both the subject and the artist. Students learn about adding supporting elements to art that help reveal the true nature of the subject. Kids will work with dry media as well as acrylics on canvas board. Printed, student-supplied photo reference of subject matter is required.

Winter Animal Habitats in Clay
Some animals love the cold and snow! Penguins swim in icy water, polar bears climb on glaciers and icebergs, and snow foxes burrow their noses in snow to find food. Families have fun imagining their favorite winter animals, where they live, and creating animals sculptures and animal habitats out of clay using coil, slab, slipping, and scoring techniques! This class will be a blast! Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready to pick up 7-10 days after the class session is finished.
Winter Wonderland Clay
Gear up for the holidays as Cameron leads winter holiday themed hand building projects in this class! Make ornaments, cookie plates, and hot cocoa mugs if time permits! Students will learn about slab, coil and pinching techniques. Kids will be able to paint their creations with bright colors! Pottery can be picked up 7-10 days after class to allow for drying and firing time.
