This is not a typical class, instead, a studio staff member will provide a demonstration at the start of the session in either wheel throwing or hand building techniques. This class is ideal for beginners who are excited to learn the basics of wheel throwing in a low-stakes environment, and a great precursor to a multi-week course. A Studio staff member will provide a demonstration at the beginning of class and offer guidance as students practice at their own wheels. Fees cover the cost of class and clay for up to two completed pieces, including glazing and firing. Anyone ages 8 and up are welcome, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Completed pieces will be fired and ready for pickup from the Clay Studio within 2 weeks after your class. We do not ship artwork, and any pieces not picked up within 60 days will be recycled.

*Note: Pieces will look different after firing. Taking photos of your piece and glaze selection after throwing and adding a signature can help identify your work when it’s time for pickup.
