More Than A Thousand Words features work by ten renowned and newly emerging artists who have practiced at Creative Growth. Across a wide variety of processes and subject matter, the inspiring and thought-provoking work reveals each artist’s diverse experiences and considerations of the world. Art is the shared language that connects us all.
Making art is, and always has been, a powerful mode of communication. When we create images and objects to visually tell stories, we often express something deeply personal about ourselves, laying bare our experiences, ideas, and feelings. We reveal aspects of who we are, individually and collectively.
About the Artists
Founded in 1974, Creative Growth is a leader in the field of arts and disabilities, establishing a model for a creative community guided by the principle that art is fundamental to human expression and that all people are entitled to its tools of communication.
Exhibition Programming
Programs including art talks, lectures, book discussions, and more will accompany the exhibitions in the coming weeks.
*Weather permitting, an outdoor space for gathering will be available.
