From quick sketches to color drawings, students create many exciting pieces by the end of the camp week. This camp is offsite at Mcpolin Elementary School.
Week 6 (July 15-19)
Drawing People
In this immersive art camp, teens will explore the fascinating world of drawing people. From capturing facial expressions to portraying body movements, participants will learn foundational techniques to bring human figures to life on paper. Through a series of engaging exercises and projects, students will delve into anatomy, proportions, and gesture drawing, honing their observational skills and developing their own unique artistic style.
Wheel Throwing 3
Learn the basics of the potter’s wheel and make clay creations like cups, plates, and bowls. Kids Ages 8+ only.
Art and Nature
Each day campers will explore a different nature inspired art activity. From creating local bird themed memory match games to drawing favorite wildflowers, this camp is perfect for creative kiddos who admire the environment.
Print, Paint, and Repeat!
Dive into the art of printmaking! Carve into foam, cut out a stencil or make a relief design to create ‘stamps’ and impressions. Campers will also learn how to use a press to make multiples! Kids will leave class with a series of prints and a new appreciation for printmaking!
Sensory Time! Art Adventures with the most Exciting Materials
This week-long camp exploration is designed to engage mini artists in a multi-sensory journey, introducing them to the thrilling realms of slime, clay, and an array of exciting textures that not only spark creativity but also contribute to essential motor skills and development.
