Every year we rely on the help of more than 300 volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours to our exhibition, education, and development programming. Current volunteer opportunities are listed below. If you’d like to be notified about future needs, please fill out our volunteer interest form.
The Kimball Arts Festival, occurring the first weekend in August, is our biggest volunteer event of the year. Sign-ups for the 500+ shifts for the Festival are posted in mid-May. Other volunteer opportunities include education assistance in our art classes and kids’ camps, helping with exhibition turnover and openings, the annual Art Soireé, Monster Drawing Rally, and more! Current volunteer opportunities are listed below.
Volunteer hours are tracked on a rolling annual basis. If you accumulate 20 hours or more in one year, you will earn a free ‘Red Individual’ membership to the Kimball Art Center. Certain events may include additional perks, such as t-shirts or entry into an opportunity drawing. No matter how or when you volunteer, you are helping Kimball Art Center in our mission to inspire, educate, and connect through art.
