Ink Wash Landscapes- Kids
Ceramic Lanterns- Kids
Using slab rolling techniques, students will create their own hand built ceramic lantern to hold a tea light candle. Students will wedge their clay, roll it into slabs, and learn the proper use of tools such as a potters needle, scoring wire brush, and slip to build their unique piece. Aside from this chance to dip our hands in clay, students will walk away with useful skills required for any future ceramic art projects. At the end we will light a candle within the pieces to see their special glow and dancing cast shadows!
