The Compass (OFFSITE) Cartoons & Comics (Grades 4 – 7)

Campers develop their own storyboards and characters to create a comic book. Anatomy, facial expressions and different cartooning techniques will be covered as well as a variety of art materials from pens to paint.

The Compass (OFFSITE) 3-D Art (Grades 1 – 5)

Channel your child’s inner engineer in this sculpture class. Using cardboard, clay, wire, and papier-mâché, students will explore a different theme each day to create cars, buildings, robots, figures and other 3-D forms in art.

Wheel Try It

This is not a typical class, instead, a studio staff member will provide a demonstration at the start of the session in either wheel throwing or hand building techniques. A nominal $25 fee includes enough clay for two completed pieces as well as firing and glazing. All ages are welcome, but children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Potter’s wheel not recommended for children under 8.
