Perfect for teens who love to write, draw, or explore new ways to express themselves! This camp is for teens 13-18 yr olds. Due to the Fourth of July holiday, this will be a 4-day week with no camp on July 4.
Book Binding
3 Weeks of Bookbinding Basics for Adults
Have you been chronicling your quarantine? Write your thoughts in a journal you create! We’ll cover several basic bookbinding techniques.
Materials needed:
Japanese stab technique, accordion fold book, 3 hole pamphlet stitch: card stock or heavier paper, printer paper 10-12 sheets, large hole needle, binding thread waxed or (any string will do), ruler, glue stick, scissors.
Registration closes 2hrs before start of class. An email reminder will be sent out to registrants before class with Zoom link.
Bookbinding Basics Teen Camp
Create hand-crafted books and journals with your own flair and style. Learn folding, sewing, and gluing techniques while experimenting with different types of stitches and covers.
Leap Day Bookbinding
We’re taking a leap back in time, to a world before Kindles and digital reading to make a real book with paper, glue, board, and thread. In this class you will learn basic coptic binding skills and take home your book made from upcycled book covers and a selection of unique papers, threads, and embellishments.
Materials provided but feel free to bring in any old books, maps, paper, etc. that you would like to use.
