Watercolor Reboot Workshop

Join us as we dust off our paints and reacquaint ourselves with watercolors.  This course is designed to help you gain more confidence with this medium.  We will work through some warm-up exercises in the morning, then will dive into painting a few paintings.  By the end of the day, you will have some new skills that should jumpstart your painting journey! 

We will break for lunch (one hour).  Please bring your own lunch.

Fall Foliage Nature Walk: Botanical Art in the Hills of Park City

Come and create art in beautiful Park City at its autumnal best!  This workshop will introduce you to the joy and beauty of observational sketching and painting of fall leaves.  It will include a 1/2 hike and then a demonstration of basic sketching and watercolor techniques as well as individual instruction.  No previous experience is necessary.   (Materials list and meet-up location will be sent upon sign-up).
 

Beetles, Bugs and Butterflies Watercolor Workshop

Using the traditional techniques of scientific watercolor painting, we will explore the world of Insects. After some brief instruction and watercolor demonstrations, students will create their own drawing and painting using a variety of reference materials and examples of work provided in class.

Nature Walk: Botanical Watercolor in the Hills of Park City

This workshop will introduce you to the joy and beauty of observational sketching and watercolor painting of seasonal wildflowers and plants. We will meet at an offsite location in PC ( Location: Mid Mtn Trailhead Parking area on Marsac Ave above the drop off circle of the Montage Hotel – more details in the email reminder)! This class is intended to be a jumping off point for the exploration and recording of Utah flora throughout the summer. We will discuss the characteristics of many wild flowers, will explore the different elements of nature journaling and creating a ‘perpetual sketchbook’ and then spend the afternoon working and exploring. A materials list and specifics for the day will be sent to students upon signing up for the course. No previous experience is necessary. Pack a lunch and proper attire to be outside.
