Combine the curiosity of science with the fun of art! From science experiments, to hands-on creative art projects inspired by the study of the natural world, each artwork will be unique! This camp is for 6-12 yr olds.
Light and Lanterns in Clay
Illuminate your creativity in Light and Lanterns in Clay! In this camp, teens will learn how to craft beautiful, functional lanterns and light sculptures using clay. From sculpting intricate designs to adding lighting elements, you’ll create unique pieces that shine with personality. Perfect for teens looking to combine art with light and create stunning pieces to brighten any space. Let your imagination glow!
This camp is for teens, 13-17 yr olds.Note on firing: All work will be fired and ready for pick up in the Kimball Art Center 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work. If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled. *Since artwork may look different after firing, make your pottery or sculpture recognizable by carving a signature into your piece.

Wheel Throwing 4 Tweens
Get ready to get your hands dirty in Wheel Throwing Camp! In this hands-on camp, young artists will learn the basics of pottery and wheel throwing. They’ll discover how to shape clay, create bowls, cups, and other fun pieces on the pottery wheel, all while exploring their creativity and learning new skills. Perfect for kids who love getting crafty and want to try something new with clay! Kids Ages 10-14yrs old only. Due to the Kimball Arts Festival, this will be a 4-day week with no camp on August 1.
