Do you need a convenient drop-in studio space? Kimball Art Center’s painting studio is available! We supply the easels and space, you bring your materials and work alongside other creatives. If you’re new to Kimball Art Center, please check in with an education staff member at 10am for a quick introductory tour of the facility. Price is per session. Materials can be provided for an extra fee.

Digital Art/Drawing and Painting
Learn to use your iPad to draw and paint from both images and your imagination.
This class will meet via Zoom.

Learn the basics of editing your own digital photos on the computer with programs such as Gimp.

Authors & Illustrators
Here’s a novel idea! During this five-week class you’ll learn the fundamentals of storytelling, composition, and narrative, then illustrate your own children’s book.
A materials list will be sent out 1 week prior to the class start date.
Teen Time Open Studio/Portraits – Day 1
Practice the basics of portraits and learn more about proportion and shading to achieve a likeness. We’ll start with an exercise together and then work on an image of your choice.

Spring Break Camp/Bringing the Outside In – Day 1
See what you can find under the snow and then we’ll make art! We’ll combine feathers, pine cones, leaves and other backyard treasures with paper, paints, string and more to create nature’s keepsakes.
This class will meet via Zoom.
AGES 7-12
Materials Needed:
Pinecones/ felt or paper/ markers/ yarn/ buttons or googley eyes | leaf printmaking: leaves, acrylic paint, paper/ Magic Wands: Sticks, yarn or string/ glue / Feathers / Pipe Cleaners (optional) / Beads (optional) / scissors
