Wheel Throwing Kids

Practice the basics of the potter’s wheel and make clay creations like cups, plates, and bowls. As students advance and build confidence, they can tackle additional wheel-thrown designs. Because each student is unique, projects may be altered and one-on-one instruction will be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level.

 

Magical Mosaics with Katherine England

Assembling small pieces of colored glass, stone, and other materials, students will learn how to design, choose color, form lines, and shape a decorative piece of art. While we will meet in person, social distancing will be practiced.

Natural Wonders in Watercolor – ONLINE CLASS

Students will learn to paint trees, flowers, wildlife and all things found in nature in this online class. We’ll cover color application, color mixing, and various painting techniques for all ability levels.

Materials needed: Watercolors, brushes, paper, pencil, eraser, paper towel, masking tape.

This class meets on Zoom.

Registration closes two hours before start of class. An email will be sent to registrants two hours prior to class start time with a link to participate.

Portrait in Color ONLINE CLASS

Practice the basics of portraiture as you learn to mix flesh tones and capture a likeness. This one-day online workshop is great for beginners and a perfect refresher for the more experienced painter.

Materials needed: Canvas or canvas board, paints, pencils, eraser. Optional: paper and watercolors.

This class meets on Zoom.

Watercolor Around the World ONLINE CLASS

Vacations may have been cancelled, but creativity doesn’t have to be! Using your favorite travel photos and memories as inspiration, you’ll learn to paint scenes with watercolor in this online class. All ability levels welcome!

Materials needed: Watercolors, brushes, paper, pencil, eraser, paper towel, masking tape.

Educator’s Night

Have you been chronicling your quarantine? Write your thoughts in a journal you create! We’ll cover several basic bookbinding techniques and add in some core curriculum tie in for your students along the way.

For teachers, please sign up with your school email.

Materials needed:

Card stock or heavier paper, printer paper 10-12 sheets, large hole needle, binding thread waxed or (any string will do), ruler, glue stick, scissors.

This class meets via Zoom. 

Registration closes 2hrs before start of class. At this time, 2 hrs before the start of class, an email reminder will be sent out to registrants before  with Zoom link.
