Off the Chart Art – The Art of Pixar @ Ecker Hill Middle School
Learn about the history, the process and the artists who create animated films, looking at a different story each day. Students then create their own detailed characters, scenes and storyboards. Grades 3-5, meets at Ecker Hill Middle School, EHMS, 224 2465 West Kilby Roa
Off the Chart Art – Photography @ Trailside Elementary School
A one-week exploration of photography designed to enrich young artists while cultivating imagination and artistic skills. Kids learn about composition with collage, create photo transfers and cyanotypes and finish the week taking photographs with Polaroid cameras.
Off the Chart Art – Cartoons & Comics @ Ecker Hill Middle School
Campers develop their own storyboards and characters to create a comic book. Anatomy, facial expressions, and different cartooning techniques will be covered.(Grades 4-7th @ Ecker Hill Middle School, EHMS, 224 2465 West Kilby Road).
Pop-In Plein Air XIII
Various experts will lead students through the fundamentals of landscape painting while teaching plein air skills and techniques, and building confidence to paint outdoors. These drop-in sessions allow students to work with their own materials (in oils, acrylics, gouache, or watercolor). Instructors will be working in a variety of media. Each week’s focus will be posted on our website, but students are welcome to use any plein air media. For an additional fee, materials needed can be provided, limited to watercolor, pastel and pen & ink.
