Get creative with clay as students experiment with clay texture and shapes as they learn basic clay building skills. Students will be introduced to coils, pinch pots and slabs as they hand build fun figures from their imagination. Each class will focus on a different technique, and students will have the opportunity to paint and glaze their mini masterpieces! After the art projects are finished for the day, students will go outside to play games as a reward for their hard work creating! Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready for pick up 10-12 days after the class session has ended. Parents do not need to accompany children in this class.

Glass Fusion II
Learn the basics of glass fusion while creating one of a kind glass projects in class. We will explore the use of tools used to shape and form glass. Properties and types of glass will be discussed, as well basic design concepts, resulting in the completion of several finished projects. Class will cover the use of reactive glasses, the use of frit, rod, and dichroic to create patterns in glass and the use of inclusions in glass such as silver foil. Cold working techniques will be demonstrated to put a finishing touch on the fused glass piece. This class is for beginners and intermediate students continuing their practice in glass fusion. Due to slumping and firing times, glass pieces will be ready for pick up 12-14 days after class has ended.
Creating Abstractions
Join Jeanne as she creates a fun environment to empower creative flow in student artwork. Students will learn about bringing shapes, color, techniques, edges, texture, value and more together to form abstract works of art. Jeanne will share different quotes and insight on creativity, discussing what helps us become more creative. Students will have the option to transfer words or quotes or saying onto our work that may be an inspiration to others. Laughter, abstract thinking and class participation is encouraged!
