Wheel Throwing Advanced/ Intermediate Session 1- Fall

Join us for an in-depth exploration of clay on the potter’s wheel. Learn clay preparation, wheel throwing, trimming, handle pulling and the firing process while creating cups, mugs, bowls, plates and other forms. All work will be fired and ready for pick up in the Kimball Art Center 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work. If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled. *Since artwork may look different after firing, make your pottery or sculpture recognizable by carving a signature into your piece.

 

OFFSITE Summer Camp-Paper Mache

Have fun with paper mache and use your imagination to create oversized animals, pieces of food and much more. Each sculpture is made super colorful with paint!

Learn all about different cartooning styles and techniques, explore character creation, storyboarding and learn about the history of cartooning. From quick sketches to color drawings, students will create many exciting pieces by the end of the camp week.
