A time to create for budding artists! Mini Artist is carefully designed by Kimball Art Center staff to support growing toddlers and their interest in art making. This class includes meaningful studio time in our Kimball Art Center studios with experiential art activities, exciting and age appropriate gallery tours, play, and sensory experiences. Mini Artists classes are held from 4 – 5PM for children 3-5 years old. Each session is $15 and includes all required materials.

Winter Break Art Drop In- Printmaking
Explore your creativity during the winter break and drop-in to our studios between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m for a winter themed art project. Unlike a typical class, this open studio lab is self-directed, with KAC staff standing by for assistance. Plan on one hour to complete the project, themes vary each day and are appropriate for kids and adults! Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5 in advance and $10 at the door.
Theme: Explore printmaking
Winter break drop-ins are for creatives of ALL ages. To include everyone in the fun, stations are set up with age appropriate variations on the theme.
Folks 13+: Carve a small linoleum block to make a personalized stamp.
Youth 6-12: Make a design in foam and print it on a card or wrapping paper.
Kiddos 6 and under: Play with stamps to decorate gift wrapping materials.

Open Painting Studio
Do you need a convenient drop-in studio space? Kimball Art Center’s painting studio is available! We supply the easels and space, you bring your materials and work alongside other creatives. First timers, please check in with an education staff member for a quick introductory tour of the facility. This open-studio session is just $12 per person.
