LEARN: Creature Cup (Make at Home Clay Kit)

Pick-up your Kimball Art Center Make at Home Clay kit! Our clay instructors will walk students through various making techniques and clay projects virtually. Each kit comes with 6 pounds of clay, your choice of glaze color to be applied by studio staff, list of tools, instructions on setting up your clay making space, and a link to a video lesson. Online videos lessons allow students to work at their own pace. Once registered, you can schedule a time for pick-up of kits and drop-off of projects. Glazed and fired pottery are food safe. Be sure your schedule your drop off time with Kimball Art Center. Glaze will be applied after drop off. For local pick-up only.

Creature Cup: Use your imagination to create a silly or scary creature with teeth, eyes and ears on a cup! These sculptures are great as stand-alone pieces for the mantle or toothbrush holders by the sink! Students will use pinch and coil techniques to form cups and as well as shape parts for expressive faces. Be sure your schedule your drop off time with Kimball Art Center. Glaze will be applied after drop off. All artwork will be ready for pick-up within 3 weeks of drop-off.

Be sure your schedule your drop off time with Kimball Art Center. Glaze will be applied after drop off. For local pick-up only.

Wind Chime: Use templates or free hand your own shapes to explore texture, pattern and positive and negative space in this hanging wind chime video class! Use stamps and found texture tools (such as leaves, rocks, or lace) to embellish pieces. Use string or wire to hang pieces after firing. Be sure your schedule your drop off time with Kimball Art Center. Glaze will be applied after drop off. All artwork will be ready for pick-up within 3 weeks of drop-off.

The Perfect Bowl : What is your perfect bowl shape? Routine and observation will guide students in creating the perfect soup or cereal bowl in this video class. Perfect for any age, students will learn to create their very own soup or cereal bowl using both pinch and coil techniques. Stamps, texture and carving tools can be used to decorate your bowl. Glazed and fired bowls are food safe. Be sure your schedule your drop off time with Kimball Art Center. Glaze will be applied after drop off. All artwork will be ready for pick-up within 3 weeks of drop-off.

Plein Air Fall 5

A time for those who like to create outdoors and share community with other artists! All levels of experience are welcome. Bring watercolors, oils, charcoal, or any medium of choice to draw from the beautiful outdoor locations in the Park City Area. 

Due to the location and time frame, this is not a class with traditional formal instruction. What you can expect is a brief introductory demonstration and guidance throughout class. Participants receive feedback from peers and Kimball Art Center Staff. 

Information about meeting location is sent out to students 2 hrs before the start time of class. While we will meet in person, social distancing will be practiced. Price is per session.

Bring your own materials: Paper, pencils, charcoal, pens, colored pencils, eraser, markers, watercolors, paints.
