This class will be all studio work, for the beginner as well as the seasoned student. This class will include one-on-one instruction students will practice drawing and painting from reference material. The basic limited palette will be explained, drawing and painting instruction, as well as various types of light and shadow and a brief discussion of color theory. Tools and materials will also be discussed to give students an idea of what materials we use and why. We will also discuss and observe examples of past masters of this genre. Drawing & Painting Fundamentals @ Old Town Cellars

The basic limited palette will be explained, drawing and painting instruction, as well as various types of light and shadow and a brief discussion of color theory. Tools and materials will also be discussed to give students an idea of what materials we use and why. Bring a date, a group of friends or come on your own and have fun! This class is for adults 21+ only.
Clay Party Plates
Spend your evening with Shasta and learn how to make creative clay plates! First, students will play with clay and make their very own ceramic plate by hand. Then, Shasta will lead you through various carving, surfacing and glazing techniques to make your ceramic plates colorful and unique. Due to drying and firing time, pottery will be ready for pick up 12 – 14 days after class has ended.
Wheel Throwing II
A series of skill-building practices will introduce you to the joys of working with clay on the wheel. The basic skills of wheel thrown pottery making will be introduced through step-by-step instruction in clay preparation, throwing on the wheel, trimming, handles and the firing process. Students will bisque fire and glaze successful work. Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready for pick up 12-14 days after class has ended. All skill levels welcome, beginner, intermediate and advanced.

Comics & Cartooning for Teens
Have fun learning about the art of comic books in this class. Teens will learn the intricacies of detail that goes into sketching and drawing some of their favorite superheroes. Students will have an opportunity to create their own superheroes, and eventually, create their own comic! Students will learn valuable drawing techniques that will build your teens’ confidence in drawing!
