Winter Break Art Drop In- Button Making
Explore your creativity during the winter break and drop-in to our studio between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m for a winter themed art project. Unlike a typical class, this open studio lab is self-directed, with KAC staff standing by for assistance. Plan on one hour to complete the project, themes vary each day and are appropriate for kids and adults! Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5 per person/project.

Kids Wheel Throwing Session 4
Learn the basics of the potter’s wheel and make clay creations like cups, plates, and bowls. Students can advance to additional wheel-thrown designs after just a few sessions. All work will be fired and ready for pick up at the Kimball Art Center 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work. If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled. *Since artwork may look different after firing, make your pottery or sculpture recognizable by carving a signature into your piece. Ages 8-12.
Kids Handbuilding Session 3
Explore the clay studio and make a different project each week. Week 1, make a footed pinch bowl. Week 2, attach coils to form a decorative bowl. Week 3, make cups with slabs. Week 4, glaze your greenware so that its ready for the kiln. All work will be fired and ready for pick up in the Kimball Art Center lobby 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work. If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled. *Since artwork may look different after firing, make your pottery or sculpture recognizable by carving a signature into your piece.
