Family-Friendly Workshop: Mornings at the Museum
We invite you to a family-friendly tour of our current exhibition: Between Life and Land: Identity. You can expect conversations about community, cultures, the physical geography of Utah and our relationship to land. Followed by a hands-on art making activity involving different materials and world building. Price is per project. Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Family Friendly Workshop: Rabbit Pinch Pots in Clay
Welcome in springtime by creating rabbit pinch pots in clay. Explore the pinch method and attach pieces together to make a hollow rabbit. Once created, details and glazes will be added on to the rabbit. This is a family fun spring project! All work will be fired and ready for pick up 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work. If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled. Price is per project. Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

In this class, students will learn fun handbuilding techniques to make their own snowflake plate in clay! After constructing plates, students will apply slips and underglazes to finish their piece. With Valentine’s day around the corner, create heart-shaped clay cups using the pinch method. Explore glazing the cups before being fired. Jewelry: Rings & Things Set With Gemstones
Design and make a ring or pendant in sterling silver set with a cabochon gemstone. Students learn how to solder and bezel set a cabochon stone.

All levels from zero experience on up are welcome. Repeat students will advance their skills per their unique needs.
