Front Page Appreciation for Teachers

Is your teacher a front-page hero? Thank the educator in your life with a newspaper flower bouquet to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day.

Materials needed:

Newspaper, scissors, liquid glue, markers, stapler.

This class meets on Zoom.

Figure Drawing (Intensive)

Learn and practice basic drawing skills to gain complete confidence drawing the figure. You will learn how to achieve accurate proportions and add life to your drawings through gesture.

Materials needed:

Pencil, paper, eraser, (optional: charcoal, drawing board and clips, newsprint).

Painting Positive Vibes

Let’s paint some positivity into our lives! Bring your favorite affirmation — it can be funny, inspirational, or a simple personal motto that helps you through tough times.

Watercolor paper, card stock or heavy paper / paint brush small, medium, large/ paints

Eggciting Art: Easter Celebration

Surprise the Easter Bunny with some eggcellent artwork! Learn to dye eggs using simple materials and create Easter-themed bags and collages.

This class will meet via Zoom.

Materials Needed:

Eggs, crayons, food coloring, paints, sharpies, vinegar, paper, scissors, brown bags

Hospital Heroes

Nurses, doctors, and other hospital employees are working around the clock to keep us safe and healthy. Let’s show them how much we appreciate their efforts and sacrifice with a handmade thank you card. Kimball Art Center can help distribute cards to these front-line heroes in Utah.

This class will meet via Zoom.

Materials Needed:

5.5″x8.5″ card stock folded in half or readymade cards / envelope or ribbon/ stamp pad any color/ paint brush any size/ paint/ pen any size/ markers / Scissors

Clovers in Clay

Channel the luck of the Irish as you learn the basics of working with a slab of clay to design and make your own St. Patricks day inspired plate.

Due to drying and firing times, all clay pieces will be available for pick up 12-14 days after the class session.
