Visiting artist Clayton Keyes will provide students with a simple and effective approach to rendering the human form in clay. Over the course of two days artists will learn construction of the head, torso, arms, and hands. Hot and cold finishes to provide alluring, sensual, and even sexy surfaces are also a focus.

Weekend Workshop with Visiting Artist Quinn Maher
This workshop will consist of demonstrations and dialog centered on functional objects. We will focus on “basic” pottery forms made with the potter’s wheel. Demos will include wheel throwing, trimming on and off the wheel, and techniques such as pulling hands, making lids, building spouts and applying slip. We will focus on bringing your ideas/sketches to life and creating forms with a purpose.
Due to drying and firing times, all clay pieces will be available for pick up 12-14 days after the last class session.
Custom Cards
