Adult Painting – Session 3
Adult Painting Session 3 will focus on water and springtime landscapes as we enter warmer weather!

-A variety of oil and acrylic brushes

– Backing support for canvas sheets if you choose to use canvas sheets rather than stretched canvas.
Adult Painting – Session 2- French Impressionism

Adult Painting Session 1- Wild Horses, Bisons & Landscapes of the West
Wild Horses, Bisons & Landscapes of the West with Oil or Acrylic paint. Learn how to map out the painting, block it in, go beyond the photo and create a painting that has a heartbeat.

Wheel Throwing
Learn the basics of the potter’s wheel and make clay creations like cups, plates, and bowls. Students can advance to additional wheel-thrown designs after just a few sessions.
All work will be fired and ready for pick up in the Kimball Art Center lobby 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work.
If you have not received an email from us after 2 weeks, please check the lobby (sometimes emails go to spam or the email used to sign up is invalid).
If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled.
*Since artwork may look different after firing, make your pottery or sculpture recognizable by carving a signature into your piece.
Handbuilding in Clay
On week one the students learn to make a footed pinch bowl. Week two the students will learn to make coils and attach them to form a decorative bowl. On week three the students will make a cup using the slab claim method. On the fourth week the students will learn to glaze all of their greenware from the past three weeks.
