Relief printmaking is rooted in socio-political causes, often used to spread information visually. In this class, students will learn the technique of relief printmaking using mounted linoleum blocks and carving gouges, design elements and principles, how to visually represent an idea, then print it on paper and a t-shirt.

Zines are self published magazines and a great way to artistically showcase interests and passions. This class is full of local history, ideas, and illustration tips to free your imagination and help you create an awesome, empowering piece of print.
Painting Concepts
Invest in your art while exploring brushes, mark making, layering, color mixing, and composition to develop your own voice in painting with oils and acrylics. These sessions feature guest painting teachers. Drop ins welcomed.

Surface Exploration in Clay
Explore surfaces on the wet to leatherhard stages of clay using stamps, roulettes and sprigs, carving, scraffito, misima, slip trailing and other methods to help you build depth and variety to the surface of your clay forms. Techniques can be used on pottery or sculpture surfaces.
*Bisque firing included in the course, due to drying and firing times pottery will be ready for pick up 12-14 days after class has ended.
Portraits
Learn the tools to draw naturalist portraits using graphite. Live models and photographs will be used.
