A unique opportunity for teens to learn how to paint a large scale mural, connect with other teens, and get involved in the community. Students will collaborate, learn new techniques, create a design and paint a mural . The first 2 days will focus on planning, learning from artists and practicing skills necessary for implementation. The mural will be painted on a large movable panel over the last 3 days and displayed on Main St. during the Park City Kimball Arts Festival.
Thursday
Sculptures in Clay
In this camp learn how to build with clay and make sculptures! This class will not include wheel throwing however there will be some fun drawing projects to imagine ideas for creative sculptures.
All work will be fired and ready for pick up in the Kimball Art Center lobby 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work. If you have not received an email from us after 2 weeks, please check the lobby. If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled.
Watercolor
Go with the flow of watercolors in this camp and practice your color skills, brush work and control of the media. Each day explore a different subject matter, grow your ideas and enjoy the wonderful media of watercolor. Because each student is unique, projects may be altered and one-on-one instruction will be given to suit each student’s skills, talents, knowledge, and interest level.
Handbuilding
This clay hand-building camp introduces students to various techniques and glazing. Student will learn techniques such as coil building and slab construction to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the ceramic medium.

Inspired by Artists
Picasso was famous for his portraits, Monet for his watercolors, and Michelangelo for his frescos and sculptures. We’ll look at the work and techniques of famous artists throughout history and blend their styles with our own
Land Art
Campers will learn how natural materials can become art and enjoy collecting and creating with nature. We’ll create rock and branch paintings, leaf prints, plant pigments, handmade paper, shell and sand art, clay and more.
