Every week Kimball Art Center hosts an art studio time for youth on Park City’s early release day. Each lesson connects the elements and principals of art with an exciting theme. Expect to try new art materials, learn technical skills and explore creative ideas with other art loving youth.

Every week Kimball Art Center hosts an art studio time for youth on Park City’s early release day. Each lesson connects the elements and principals of art with an exciting theme. Expect to try new art materials, learn technical skills and explore creative ideas with other art loving youth.
Basic Metalsmithing: Part 1 Beginner (1 Day)
Design and make a pair of sterling silver earrings. Students learn how to use basic jewelers tools to saw, pierce, file, form and hammer textures into metal.
Prerequisite: none
Wheel Try It Drop In
This is not a typical class, instead, a studio staff member will provide a demonstration at the start of the session in either wheel throwing or hand building techniques. A nominal $40 fee includes enough clay for two completed pieces as well as firing and glazing. All ages are welcome, but children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Potter’s wheel not recommended for children under 8.
All work will be fired and ready for pick up in the Kimball Art Center lobby 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work.
